Volunteers are the lifeblood of West Sound PAWS
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with West Sound PAWS! We’re so grateful for your willingness to support animals and our community. Below is an overview of our current volunteer opportunities. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like help finding the best fit for you.
- Cat Care & Enrichment: Support the daily care and well-being of cats at our Adoption Centers through cleaning, feeding, and socialization. This rewarding role requires a commitment of one hour per week for six months. Training is provided and required.
- Foster Families: Provide loving, temporary homes for cats and kittens in need. Training, food, and veterinary care are provided by PAWS — you provide the care, comfort, and love.
- Youth Mentoring: Support and guide young volunteers as they learn about animal welfare, responsibility, and compassion.
- Group Volunteering: Perfect for corporate teams, school groups, and community organizations looking to volunteer together on special projects.
- Pet Food Bank Support: Assist with the collection, packaging, and distribution of dog and cat food for our Pet Food Bank Program. Opportunities are available at our Adoption Centers and throughout the community; some roles require access to a vehicle.
- Transportation: Help transport animals, supplies, or donations between locations, veterinary clinics, and foster homes.
- Event Support: Lend a hand at one or more of our annual events, including our Annual Gala and Puttin’ for West Sound PAWS. Roles include behind-the-scenes support and direct engagement with event guests.
